Dear Valued Customers,

We are excited to announce the creation of a new environment for our REST API, designed to enhance performance, reliability, and security. Starting on July 15th, we will transition to a new global traffic management system. You do not need to take any action; everything will work as before.

What This Means for You:

• Improved Performance: Enjoy faster response times and better load balancing through the implementation of a new global traffic management service.
• Enhanced Security: Benefit from advanced security features to protect your data.
• Increased Reliability: Experience higher availability and stability of our API services.
• Transition from GeoIP DNS: We are transitioning from our current GeoIP-capable DNS to this new, more efficient system. This change will bring several benefits:
• Global Load Balancing: More efficient distribution of traffic across our global server network.
• Optimised Routing: Improved routing ensures users connect to the fastest and most reliable server.
• Advanced Traffic Management: Enhanced ability to manage and direct traffic, ensuring optimal service delivery.
How Does This Impact Your Traffic:
• Seamless Transition: Traffic will be managed through our new system, ensuring that all requests are optimally routed for best performance.
• Consistent API Behavior: The API behaviour will remain completely the same, so your applications should continue to function as they currently do.
• Endpoint Continuity: After the switch, you can continue to use your existing links (e.g. https://rest.mittoapi.com or https://rest.mittoapi.net ), which will now point to the new environment.
What do you need to do:

We invite you to test the new environment and provide your feedback. The test link we will provide is an endpoint to our Production environment: https://rest-test.mittoapi.net. You can use your existing credentials, and traffic will be processed as in the current environment. The API functionalities will remain entirely the same.

Please note that when the test period expires, DNS records to geographic locations (such as https://rest-us.mittoapi.net, etc.) will point to the same endpoint, and will be removed eventually.

Therefore, if you want, you will have until July 15th to complete your testing.

DNS Record Switch: By the end of the testing period, we plan to switch the DNS record to the new environment. This means all traffic will be routed through a new endpoint, ensuring a seamless transition and improved service for all users. After the switch, you can continue to use your old links, such as https://rest.mittoapi.net or https://rest.mittoapi.com, which will point to the new environment.

Next Steps:

• Continue using the test link to access and test the new environment.
• Share your feedback with us to help us ensure a seamless transition.

Please test the new setup using the provided link (https://rest-test.mittoapi.net. We appreciate your cooperation and support in testing this new setup. Your feedback is invaluable to us as we strive to improve our services.

If you have any questions or need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact our support team.

Thank you for your continued trust in our services.
